Janine's love for horses has been a lifelong passion, and her journey into Natural Horsemanship began in 1998 when she encountered a loss of confidence while working with her mare, Misty. This pivotal moment ignited a deep dedication to learning and understanding horses on a profound level.
Throughout her journey, Janine has sought wisdom from numerous master horsemen, immersing herself in their teachings and acquiring invaluable insights to enhance her horsemanship skills. She has successfully retrained numerous horses, leveraging her diverse knowledge and experience to bring out the best in each equine partner.
Janine's unwavering passion lies in assisting others in achieving their equestrian dreams and ensuring horses lead fulfilling and joyful lives. Her approach to communication is unique and resonates deeply with her students, who find her message easy to comprehend and implement. Janine's teachings evoke excitement and make learning a seamless and enjoyable process, regardless of her students' age, ability, or background. In her pursuit of personal growth, Janine has completed various certifications and educational achievements, including:
  • 2 Star Parelli Instructor (no longer licensed)
  • Teaching Certificate III in Equine Studies at TAFE
  • Completion of various Instructor and Horse Development courses
  • Attainment of a Graduate Diploma in Learning

Frequently asked questions

What are your qualifications?

Janine has many qualifications both formal (institute recognised) and informal (private practise). She obtained her Level 4 in the Parelli Program and completed their 2 Star Instructor Program (she was a Parelli instructor for 4 years). She has completed 2 full time Horse Development courses. She has her Certificate III Equine Studies (she currently teaches this through Tafe); AHRC Certificate; Diploma TAE; Graduate Diploma Learning; First Aid Certificate and Working with Children's check.

Who will be giving the lessons and teaching?

Currently only Janine provides education and training to students. Although, there is a great team of administration and marketing who support the academy.

Where are you based and do you travel?

Janine is based in Wandin North in the beautiful Yarra Valley in Victoria Australia. She will travel to you and your horse, or you can come to her arena. There is no travel charge within 20km from her. If you host a clinic for her, there will be no travel charge and you will attend the clinic at a heavily discounted rate.

Do you teach anyone?

Yes, we teach women, men, teens and children. The minimum age for children is around 6. Workshops for children and teens would generally be separate for their age group as they have different learning needs and so require different learning styles to adults. All lessons are adapted to individual learning needs and styles. Janine is also very experienced in teaching individuals with learning difficulties and mental health conditions.
